AdWords 1-on-1 Mentoring

Whether you’re already managing an AdWords campaign or thinking of doing so, the biggest opportunity for success will come from fast tracking your skill levels from beginner to pro!

And that’s what I can offer you IF you’re serious about increasing your leads and sales from AdWords.

With my 8 years experience managing AdWords campaigns spending from $100/month to $60,000/month, I can fast track you to Pro level in as little as 6 months part time.

We’ll meet for an hour via Skype or phone call every 2 weeks, where I will review what you have done in your campaign, and I will give you feedback on what to change, fix or improve over the next 2 weeks.

I will also help you improve your website (if required), guide you on writing ad copy, help you set up an email database to help communicate with your leads and clients, and even advise you on where to find quality resources on a budget to help you build your business (whether that’s a website designer, or graphic design services, etc.)

Because of my very limited schedule, I can only handle a maximum of 10x 1-to-1 coaching clients per month. So, if you are number 11, I won’t be able to take you on as a client until one of the first 10 quits.

The program has 2 payment options:

1) Monthly payments: $1000/month for 6 months

2) Upfront payment: $5000 upfront (6 month program) – save $1000

To apply for this program, you will need to have a 1 hour paid consultation up front where I will discuss your circumstances with you, find out your goals, strengths and weaknesses, review your campaign/s and give you feedback on what I believe needs to be fixed. This $100 fee will be rebated from your coaching fees if you decide to go ahead with my coaching program (and I accept you as a client).

Why am I charging for this initial consultation?

Simple. I don’t have time to give away free 1 hour consults with everyone who is thinking of becoming a client. I only want to talk to the serious ones – the people who will do as I tell them and not give me excuses for their failure to follow through.

Plus, it also gives me an opportunity to learn if we are a good match. I have to be confident that you are doing something legit and that it agrees with my own personal values. That means no porn, drugs (or drug implements), gambling or MLM.

Lastly, it actually allows me to evaluate what you have put in place already – to see if I can help you get significant improvements in your results.

After all, you should not be spending 1 cent with me if it won’t actually pay for itself with increased sales and profits. I care about results, NOT charging you an hourly fee.

My goal – by the end of the 6 month program – is for you to have increased sales enough to have paid for this coaching 4 times over (i.e. $20K in profit). If I feel we won’t come close to this goal, I’ll tell you up front and not take you on as a client.

AdWords Group Coaching

While my premium coaching service is a 1-on-1 mentoring program spread over 6 months, I accept that not everyone is in a position to afford that program, so I have decided to introduce an alternative program to cater for those with a lower budget.

Group coaching is – as the name suggests – where you are part of a group being coached together via online web conferencing technology.

You’ll follow a pre-set program of training, and at the end of each session, I will throw the conference open to Q&A, where you can ask your questions. We’ll finish off with a “homework” assignment for the next meeting.

The difference between group coaching & 1-on-1 mentoring is that mentoring is completely driven by YOUR needs and circumstances, and you have sole access to me while on each conference. We work on anything that is relevant to your needs and you drive the program based on your specific custom requirements.

Group coaching is more structured – we follow a set program of training from session to session, and you get less time to ask for help with your specific needs. HOWEVER, obviously it is more affordable and still provides a HEAP of excellent training.

Group coaching is also limited to a maximum of 15 people at once, to ensure you get access to ask me questions as required. Any more than 15 per program and I find people don’t get enough help specific to their needs.

Of course, I do run multiple coaching groups, so if you’re not in group #1, you might end up in group #2 or #3, etc.

Rates: $197 per month

The program runs 1 session per fortnight for 12 months. You can cancel at any time you wish, but obviously if you want the maximum results from my coaching, guidance and help to achieve success, then you’ll want to stick around for as long as possible.

Each session will last approx 1 – 1.5 hours, depending on the topic and how long Q&A runs.

Photo of Eran MallochWelcome. My name is Eran Malloch and I live in Perth, Western Australia.

So, what’s an ex-Postman/courier driver/IT sales guy doing playing in the online marketing world, you might wonder…

Well, life rarely turns out as you planned it in your youth, and when the Airforce said No to my dream of becoming a fighter pilot back in the early 1980s (pilots with asthma aint popular with the airforce!), I kind of stumbled around in life for some years, trying to find my place in the world.

I did 4 years as a postman, hated almost every minute of it, and finally got up the courage to move on (to being a courier driver briefly, of all things – still delivering stuff!) and eventually ended up in the IT industry, selling computer hardware & software for a living.

That I enjoyed. I had always had an interest in computers since high school, and discovered I was fairly good at the job, so I stayed in that industry for some years, until I ended up working for a small manufacturing firm selling vehicle traffic counters to multiple countries. It wasn’t a big leap doing this after selling IT, so I found that an interesting job as well.

However, one MAJOR realisation came out of that job, and it was that I got sick and tired of doing cold call telemarketing as a way of finding clients and making sales.

It all seemed so very pointless, painful and inefficient and it really started to frustrate me in my job.

So, I went looking for alternatives – ways to find leads quickly, efficiently and without having to beat my head against the wall ringing people who didn’t want to speak with me.

That’s when I found Google AdWords, back in probably 2004 or early 2005.

I was so taken with the concept of AdWords that I brought some training products on using it from an expert (who became my mentor all those years ago) and started learning the subject.

Unfortunately, my employer had no interest in any sort of marketing – they had tried it before and it hadn’t worked (!) – so my every effort to get them to see some value in using things like direct mail and Adwords were wasted, and in the end, they shut our division down and I was out of a job.

From there, I got a position working for a high-end IT training company in sales, and it was there that I first saw the real value of a proper marketing campaign designed to generate sales leads.

My employer spent a small fortune advertising our business on radio & TV, and the offer was to come to a free information session at our office 1 evening a week.

I took all the enquiries, booked them in for the session, gave the presentation (my first real paid job doing public speaking!) and followed up with people to close the sale.

It was a tough gig – but I enjoyed the challenges it offered and did a great job (I was the best sales person in the office and considered the best seminar presenter in the company Australia-wide). Only catch was my ball breaker boss who made my life a near-misery, and long story short, I ended up getting the sack (thank god!)

Out of every misfortune comes an opportunity to do better, and that’s exactly what happened in this case.

I had maintained a strong interest in online marketing & AdWords all that time, and shortly afterwards, I found a job advertised online for a small SEO firm looking for a new consultant to join them.

When I applied, it turned out that the position had been filled several weeks previously and the business owner just hadn’t taken the job down from SEEK (the job site) yet.

However, I persuaded him to meet me anyway with my enthusiasm and knowledge about the topic, and he ended up giving me a job – albeit part time (3 days/week) and not big money.

I took that job though, because I was DESPERATE to get into the industry, and stayed with them for over 4 years (being upgraded to full-time not too long after starting), and worked my way up to becoming the primary AdWords consultant in the firm.

I owe a LOT of my success in this industry to my boss back then, because he took a chance on me and gave me a job when there wasn’t one available, and let me grow my skills in the industry working for him. I’ll always be greatful for that, so thanks Charles (if you’re reading this).

Since then, I have worked for Australia’s largest web design company as the in-house AdWords specialist, and then for Google’s largest AdWords Reseller in the world providing pre & post sales technical support for Agency level clients.

Now I’m out of Agency land working as the Marketing Manager for a Finance company and also running my own online marketing consultancy on the side.

You remember how I said earlier that I had lost my dream of becoming an Airforce fighter pilot and wandered the world a little lost. Well, I’m pleased to report that the exciting and ever-changing world of online marketing is the career path I never expected, but am totally passionate about and intend to keep working in for many years to come.
